La Rioja to Build Four-Star Hotel Casino in Paseo de Los Sauces State Park
The Governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, has announced the construction of a four-star hotel casino in the Paseo de Los Sauces state park. The project aims to boost tourism and entertainment offerings in the Argentine province.
The announcement coincided with the launch of the 2024-2025 summer tourist season and the inauguration of the park’s fifth phase, which originally opened in April 2023.
Quintela stated that the hotel casino in Paseo de Los Sauces will “enhance the area around the dam, providing services and activities for the enjoyment of the people of La Rioja and tourists.”
The Governor also mentioned that the project evolved from a more modest plan. “Initially, this was a more austere project, then it began to take shape, and suddenly the political decision was made to urbanize all the water features.”
“Paseo de Los Sauces is a space that combines impressive natural landscapes with the tranquility of the place, and we hope that the whole family can enjoy it this season that we are starting,” he added on social media.
Architect Emiliano Venezia noted that the Paseo de Los Sauces project “began as a very important challenge to promote tourism.” Regarding the hotel casino project, he indicated that it “has 6,000 covered meters.”
