The municipality of the city of Alta Gracia, located in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, carried out the preventive closure of the Sierras Hotel casino, after an inspection carried out by the General Undersecretariat, in which the lack of presentation and updating of some documents of the establishment was verified.

According to local media, the measure was taken when the authorities found that the concessionaire in charge of the establishment had not completed the procedures required to keep the premises’ license valid, an essential condition for its operation.

Among the documents, the fire department certificate was missing, a key document that certifies compliance with the security measures required by law. In addition, other administrative irregularities related to the updating of mandatory documentation were detected.

In this way, both the casino and the hotel were preventively closed until the company regularizes its situation.

As of this decision, the establishment will not be able to receive new players or guests, while those who were already staying there will not be affected by the measure. Meanwhile, the bar and restaurant of the complex may continue to operate normally.

From the municipality they indicated that the administrative process is still ongoing, waiting for the company to present the corresponding documentation that, apparently, would have been requested in December 2024. Commercial authorization is an essential legal requirement, and its non-compliance may result in greater sanctions if it is not corrected in time.
