The Casino del Sol was the venue for the official opening of the 2025 winter tourist season in Las Termas de Río Hondo, a city in Santiago del Estero. During the ceremony, the traditional launch of the first ball took place, whose winning number was Colorado, 27.

The event, which also encompassed Plaza General San Martín, was attended by the governor of Santiago del Estero, Gerardo Zamora; the vice-governor Carlos Silva Neder; the Chief of Staff, Elías Suárez; the senator Claudia de Zamora; the Undersecretary of Tourism, Nelson Bravo; and the mayor Jorge Mukdise.

During the event, the governor thanked the citizens for their attendance and highlighted the investments made for the development of the tourism industry “as a generator of employment and growth, with the support of the private sector.”

At that point, he urged the business owners in the sector “to continue investing in Termas de Río Hondo because they will not regret it,” even in the difficult times the country is going through, “because Santiago del Estero continues to build solid foundations for progress.”

The celebration continued with a free artistic show featuring figures such as Peteco Carabajal, Dúo Coplanacu, Los Arkanos del Desierto, Pedro Silva, among others.
