The Superintendency of Gaming Casinos (SCJ) of Chile announced the official opening of the process of granting a permit to operate a gaming casino in the commune of Puerto Varas, located in the Patagonian region of Los Lagos.
The formal opening of the process was made through Exempt Resolution N°398, which indicates that offerers interested in the Puerto Varas location may download the technical bases and the Application System until October 20, 2025, through the institutional website.
Likewise, they reported that the period for receiving inquiries and requests for clarifications from potential applicants will take place until May 12. The SCJ has a period of 15 business days to provide answers.
Meanwhile, the Technical and Economic Offers Presentation Hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 21, at 10:30 a.m., at the Superintendency’s facilities, located in the commune of Santiago, Metropolitan Region.
As detailed, the technical bases incorporate the following special conditions that will govern the contest in the commune of Puerto Varas:
- Minimum guaranteed economic offer of 5,000 annual Unidades de Fomento (UF).
- Execution of urban pedestrian shelters, with an investment of UF 5,000 as a minimum and UF 5,500 as a maximum.
- A percentage of workers who work for the current concessionaire who will continue to provide services corresponding to 80%.
