Grupo Comar Opens Casino Santiago in Galicia, Spain
Grupo Comar, a Galician company in the gaming sector, opened the doors of Casino Santiago on Friday, January 3rd. This new venue is located in Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, and will operate as an extension of Casino Atlántico, which is located in the city of La Coruña.
The new establishment, the first of its kind in the Galician capital, is situated on Avenida de Vilagarcía, a few meters from Praza de Vigo and near the Campus Sur and the Eduardo Pondal Institute.
According to reports, the new casino will create 22 jobs. The employees were trained in recent weeks at Grupo Comar’s croupier school.
“All of them will become part of the Santiago de Compostela team, which will be supported by professionals from Comar’s headquarters, with the marketing, administration, and human resources departments leading the way,” they detailed.
Furthermore, they indicated that the new casino will be equipped with state-of-the-art machines, highlighting Type C games of chance, American roulette tables, blackjack, and digital poker tables. A sports betting area will also be available.
The company announced plans to open a space dedicated to Texas Hold’em poker tournaments, with which they “intend to become a reference point for fans of this card game, one of the most popular in the world.”
As a complement, Casino Santiago will feature a gastronomic space that will be open every day. It will offer a “modern and casual” menu, to which a selection of cocktails will be added.
Live music is planned for the weekends. While the slot machine area will be open from 10 a.m., the main casino area will open its doors from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
