On January 3rd, Grupo Comar, a Galician company in the gaming sector, opened the doors of its new venue located in Santiago de Compostela, which also created job opportunities for 22 young people who were trained in the company’s croupier school.
According to reports, the 22 young people will become part of the establishment’s staff, “contributing to the professional and economic growth of Santiago,” in addition to other positions from the headquarters in the departments of marketing, administration, HR, and external professionals.
The new entertainment space is the first casino in Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, and will be an annex of the Casino Atlántico, which operates in the city of La Coruña. It is located on Avenida de Vilagarcía, nº 8, next to Plaza de Vigo and “will become a point of reference in the social and entertainment life of the city,” the company said.
Comar detailed that the new casino will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering a wide range of options for its visitors, with attractions such as latest generation type C slot machines, American roulette tables, blackjack and also iTable poker, in addition to a sports betting corner.
The opening of a space dedicated to Texas Hold’em poker tournaments is also planned, which will complete the entertainment offer and turn Casino Santiago into a benchmark for fans of this popular game.
Another novelty of the place, alternative to gambling, will be a gastrobar (Casino Gourmet), which will be available every day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. “This gastronomic space will offer a modern and casual menu, complemented by a varied selection of cocktails, with the aim of offering a complete experience to its visitors. On weekends, the offer will be enriched with live music, creating a unique and dynamic environment that will attract both residents and tourists,” the company said.
The opening hours for the slot machine area are from 10:00 a.m., while the main casino area opens its doors from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. every day.
With this opening, Grupo Comar adds its twelfth casino in Spanish territory, thus consolidating a total of fourteen more casinos internationally.
