Utrecht Resident Wins Lotto Jackpot

A resident of Utrecht has won the Lotto Jackpot of one million euros in the most recent drawing. The jackpot was guaranteed to be won because a yellow ball was drawn during last Saturday’s drawing.

The Pentecost weekend kicked off last Saturday with a new Lotto drawing. During the drawing, the yellow ball fell out of the drawing machine, meaning that the jackpot was guaranteed to be won. The jackpot of €1 million went to the player who correctly guessed the most numbers.

A resident of Utrecht correctly predicted all six numbers, securing the Lotto Jackpot of one million euros. The subscriber player participated in the recent Lotto drawing with the winning number combination.

Since the winner is a subscriber player, the prize money will be automatically transferred. Nevertheless, the winner has been invited to visit the head office. Tonny Dijkhuizen, prize winner supervisor at Nederlandse Loterij, said the following in the announcement:

“What a fantastic Pentecost weekend for this Lotto subscriber player. The winner of the Lotto Jackpot will automatically have the prize transferred to his or her bank account. And we cordially invite him or her to our office in Rijswijk for First Aid for Happiness; advice and guidance on winning a large sum of money. We look forward to personally congratulating the winner.”

Third Jackpot in a Row

In the drawing two weeks ago, a resident of Groningen won the jackpot of €1.8 million by guessing the correct numbers. In the same drawing, a player from Rotterdam won the XL prize worth €1 million.

A week later, in the drawing of May 31, 2025, a subscriber player from Kerkrade won the Lotto Jackpot of €1 million with the correct prediction. The winners of the Lotto Jackpots, and other prize winners, must pay 34.2% of their prize money in gambling tax. This is because the prize money from Lotto are gross cash prizes.
