Noah Boeken Makes Deep Run at 2025 WSOP, Negreanu Falls Short

At the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, Noah Boeken made a deep run in the $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed event last night. Simultaneously, Daniel Negreanu narrowly missed out on his eighth WSOP bracelet in the series’ ninth event.

A growing number of players have arrived in Las Vegas for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), including Noah Boeken. He participated in the second day of the $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed event, which attracted a total of 275 entrants.

The player made a significant run and secured a min-cash of $50,829 after Allan Le’s elimination on the bubble. He then advanced to the final three tables, albeit with one of the smaller stacks. This ultimately led to him going all-in with Ace of Clubs, King of Diamonds, Five of Hearts, Three of Hearts against Dan Smith’s Nine of Spades, Eight of Spades, Eight of Clubs, Six of Spades.

The board came Five of Clubs, Four of Diamonds, Three of Clubs, Seven of Spades, Jack of Clubs, giving Smith a straight. Consequently, Boeken finished in 23rd place for $53,371. Shortly after the player’s elimination, the day concluded with seventeen players remaining.

Daniel Negreanu Misses Eighth Bracelet

In Event #9, the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, the fourth and final day took place last night. Five players were still in contention for the win, with Daniel Negreanu, a prominent figure in poker, and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom as chipleaders.

Despite the limited playing space, it took more than two hours before the first player had to leave the tournament on Day 4. Ultimately, Hunter McClelland finished in fifth place for $106,679 after surrendering his last chips to Negreanu. Former chipleader Blom ended up in fourth place ($152,315), as he hardly won a pot on the final day.

Negreanu then eliminated Ofir Mor (third, $216,223), allowing him to start the heads-up match against Ryan Bambrick with a 2:1 deficit. Despite desperate attempts to come back, the Canadian could not make a comeback. As a result, he missed out on his eighth WSOP bracelet and had to settle for second place for $313,615.

Bambrick, on the other hand, won his second WSOP bracelet and the top prize of $470,437.
