Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino Begin Phase Two Expansion

The Tule River Tribe of California and Eagle Mountain Casino have officially commenced construction on the second phase of a resort and hotel expansion. This expansion is adjacent to the existing casino property along Highway 65, near the Porterville fairgrounds.

Ceremonial Event Highlights

The ceremonial event featured speeches from the Tule River Tribal Council and tribal elders. Cultural performances were also part of the event, along with the unveiling of the updated resort logo and new architectural renderings, providing the first public look at the project’s future.

Construction Contract Awarded

Tutor Perini Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp., has been awarded the construction contract for the expansion project. The contract, valued at approximately $220 million, was awarded by the Tule River Gaming Authority.

Project Team and Vision

The expansion is being led by a project team that includes Connect Advisors, acting as the owner’s representative, in close collaboration with HBG Design. The team aims to deliver a world-class resort destination that reflects the Tule River Tribe’s long-term vision for growth and community development.

Phase Two Details

Phase 2 will include the construction of a new 193-room hotel tower with a rooftop restaurant, a central utility plant, and administrative offices. The expansion also includes an existing restaurant expansion, and a new event center with a capacity of 2,000 people and convention facilities. Additional amenities will include a resort-style pool, spa, arcade, and flexible meeting and pre-event spaces.

Projected Completion

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and is expected to be largely completed by 2027.
