Casino Bids Submitted in Chile’s Aysén and Ancud Regions

The Chilean Superintendency of Casinos (SCJ) has announced that two subsidiary companies of Dreams and Corporación Meier submitted their technical and economic bids in the licensing process for a casino in the Aysén Region.

According to a statement, Casinos de Juegos Coyhaique S.A., owned by Dreams and seeking to renew its license, and Sociedad Río Simpson S.A., belonging to the Meier Group, were the two companies that submitted bids after the conclusion of this stage of the process.

Additionally, Sociedad Mirador Hueihuén S.A. submitted a bid for the operation of a casino in the city of Ancud, located on the island of Chiloé, in the Los Lagos region.

During the bid submission hearing at the SCJ offices, in the presence of notary public Renata González, the bidding companies delivered their economic bids to Karla Pinto Timmermann, a lawyer from the office of the Undersecretary of Tourism, and Verónica Pardo Lagos, who deposited the sealed envelopes in a Banco Estado safety deposit box.

Following the receipt of bids, the SCJ announced the start of the Technical Bid Evaluation phase, which will conclude within a maximum period of 120 days, meaning no later than Monday, November 24, 2025.

It is worth noting that in late October 2024, the SCJ announced that it had terminated the evaluation of a technical bid submitted for the operation of a casino in the commune of Coyhaique, located in the Aysén Region, rejecting the renewal proposal submitted by the Dreams subsidiary.
