Marcel Vonk Makes Deep Run

Marcel Vonk, a fan of all different variants of poker, played on the second day of Event #23, the $1,500 Badugi. He started the day with only a few big bets and hoped to make it into the money.

Vonk managed to secure a min-cash with a very small stack, and from that moment on, things got better for the Dutchman. He stayed alive and eventually played his way to a commendable sixteenth place for $6,879.

“…and then we ran out of chips. Had a sweat for the final card, was the right suit but wrong rank. Can’t be too sad about 16th place for $6879 though, nice to get that first run!” – Marcel Vonk

After Vonk’s elimination, play continued for a while until the day ended with seven players remaining. They will return for the final day.
