Kajsa Ollongren Joins Supervisory Board of Postcode Lottery Group
As of June 1, 2025, former Deputy Prime Minister Kajsa Ollongren has joined the Supervisory Board of the Postcode Lottery Group, the parent company of the Postcode Lottery and the Vriendenloterij.
From 2017 to 2022, Kajsa Ollongren of the D66 party served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. In the Rutte IV cabinet, she held the position of Minister of Defence, a role she held until July 2, 2024. Following the inauguration of the new Schoofs cabinet on that date, Ollongren left politics.
Since then, she has held various advisory and supervisory positions at different organizations, according to her LinkedIn page. As of June 1, 2025, a new role has been added, as Ollongren has joined the Supervisory Board of the Postcode Lottery Group.
The Postcode Lottery announced Ollongren’s appointment on Monday. The newest member of the Supervisory Board of the Postcode Lottery Group is very pleased with her new role:
“The Postcode Lottery Group is one of the largest private donors in the world. It is impressive that a concept that originated in the Netherlands can now make a global impact thanks to millions of households participating in the charity lotteries.”

She is also looking forward to contributing to the ambitions of the lotteries, which raised nearly €1 billion for charities worldwide in 2024. With this, they support initiatives that improve well-being and health, among other things.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Gert-Jan van der Vossen, has indicated that they are very pleased to welcome Ollongren. According to Van der Vossen, Ollongren’s national and international experience and expertise can be of great value to the organization.
In addition to the Postcode Lottery and Vriendenloterij in the Netherlands, the Postcode Lottery Group also includes lotteries in Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, and Norway.
Ollongren is not the only former D66 politician to hold a role on the Supervisory Board of a lottery company. State-owned Nederlandse Loterij counts Alexander Pechtold as the chairman of its supervisory body.
