Marcel Vonk Reaches Final Day of $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at 2025 WSOP
Marcel Vonk has advanced to the final day of the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). He will compete with seventeen other players for the coveted WSOP bracelet.
Fifteen years ago, Marcel Vonk secured his first WSOP bracelet in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament. In recent years, Vonk has been a regular in Las Vegas, primarily participating in Mixed Games events. This year is no different, and he has already recorded several cashes in the past few weeks.
He returned for the second day of the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event alongside fellow countrymen Javier Francort and Quoc Khoang. Unfortunately, Francort and Khoang were eliminated early, finishing in 126th and 98th place, respectively, for $3,017. Vonk remained the sole Dutch representative and managed to stay in the tournament.
Towards the end of the day, he won a significant pot with pocket aces in Limit Hold’em. Vonk maneuvered his way to his first final day at the 2025 WSOP with a stack of 800,000 chips, placing him twelfth on the leaderboard with eighteen players remaining.
The remaining eighteen players are guaranteed $7,562 and are still in contention for the top prize of $197,923 and a WSOP bracelet.
Renat Bohdanov Wins Bracelet
Only one player secured a WSOP bracelet last night. The decision came in Event #35: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em. Renat Bohdanov emerged victorious, defeating Dennys Ramos in the heads-up match. The win earned him a grand prize of $451,600 and the second bracelet of his career.
Thomas Boivin Reaches Final Table of $100,000 High Roller
In the $100,000 High Roller, the Belgian contingent still has hopes for a victory after the second day. Thomas Boivin is one of the eight players who will compete on the final day, returning with the third-largest chip stack. Aram Oganyan holds a significant chip lead, with Joao Vieira also ahead of Boivin.
