Michael Wilklow Wins Mystery Millions at 2025 WSOP

Michael Wilklow achieved a stunning victory last night at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. The American triumphed in the Mystery Millions event, claiming the $1,000,000 top prize and his first WSOP bracelet.

A week after the start of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), a winner has been crowned in the official opening tournament, the $1,000 Mystery Millions. The tournament featured a total of five starting days and a field of 19,654 players. Twenty players returned on the final day, all vying for the million-dollar grand prize.

Earlier, two $1 million bounty prizes were awarded. The first went to Tyler Montoya, who finished in 416th place. The other bounty was claimed by Thomas Zanot, who had previously won a significant jackpot at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This time, he drew a million-dollar bounty and finished 305th.

On the final day, Michael Wilklow played his way to victory in the Mystery Millions, becoming the third $1,000,000 winner at the 2025 WSOP. In the decisive heads-up match, he defeated Michael Acevedo, who received $563,350 as runner-up. Daniel Strelitz finished third, earning $429,950.

Noah Boeken Advances in High Roller

Event #14, the $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed, kicked off at the 2025 WSOP in Las Vegas. The opening day saw 178 entries, with registration remaining open through the first two levels of Day 2.

Noah Boeken, a player from the Netherlands, participated and increased his starting stack of 150,000 chips to 214,000 chips for the start of the second day. This gives him ample room to maneuver with blinds at 3,000/5,000 and a big blind ante of 5,000.

Multiple Dutch Players Advance to Day 2 of Event #13

Event #13, the $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em, also began, attracting 2,354 entries, with 174 players advancing to Day 2.

Johan Schumacher (833,000) and Thomas Boivin (788,000) from Belgium finished near the top of the leaderboard. Three Dutch players will also be in action on Day 2: Toan Nguyen (672,000), Tom Verbruggen (463,000), and Joost Schippers (384,000).

Negreanu Chasing Number Eight

Daniel Negreanu was the chip leader among the last twenty players at the start of the third day of Event #9, the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. However, a winner could not be determined on this day, necessitating a fourth day of play.

Five players remain, with Viktor “Isildur1” Blom leading with 4,020,000 chips. He is followed by Ryan Bambrick (3,250,000), and Daniel Negreanu (3,205,000). Hunter McClelland (1,300,000) and Ofir Mor (1,190,000) face a more precarious situation with seven and six big blinds, respectively.
