Lotto Jackpot of €1.2 Million Won in Rijnsburg
A resident of Rijnsburg, a town in the South Holland province, won the Lotto Jackpot of a staggering €1.2 million last Saturday. The fortunate player correctly predicted all six numbers in the lottery.
The winning combination secured the player from Rijnsburg a jackpot of over a million euros.
According to reports from Nederlandse Loterij, the parent company of Lotto, the lucky winner participated online. Therefore, the gambling company knows their identity, although the winner’s name remains anonymous due to privacy considerations.
Nederlandse Loterij emphasized that winners of such large cash prizes can receive personal guidance. Prize winner counselor Karen van Schie, on behalf of the state-owned company, expressed her desire to welcome the lucky lottery winner at the headquarters in Rijswijk:
“What a great weekend for this winner! We cordially invite the winner to our office in Rijswijk for advice and guidance on winning a large sum of money.”

With the Lotto jackpot being won, the next draw, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, will have a total jackpot of €1.1 million.
Lotto Jackpot Won During Pentecost Weekend
This is the second time this month that the Lotto Jackpot of at least one million euros has been won. Previously, on Saturday, June 7, the jackpot was also won during the Pentecost weekend draw. A resident of the municipality of Utrecht won an amount of €1 million. This winner also had all six numbers correct and participated through a subscription.
During that draw, the yellow ball came out of the new machine, which meant that the jackpot was guaranteed to be won. This new machine with an extra chance at the jackpot was put into use in February, after the old machine was retired in November 2024 after 50 years of service.
