Soria Provincial Council Renews Collaboration Agreement with Casino Amistad Numancia

The Soria Provincial Council has renewed its collaboration agreement with the Cultural Association Círculo Amistad Numancia, the institution responsible for the historic building that houses the Casino Amistad Numancia.

The agreement, signed by the President of the Provincial Council, Benito Serrano, and the President of the Cultural Association, Adolfo Sainz, provides €15,000 (approximately $16,680 USD) to support the cultural activities and maintenance of this historic center, which has over 700 members.

The funds will be used to support the daily operations and work of the Casino Amistad Numancia, with a particular focus on the recovery, conservation, and dissemination of its historical heritage.

Adolfo Sainz expressed his gratitude for this financial support, describing it as “a lifeline” that will help them meet the expenses associated with maintaining the four-story building and the staff needed to serve its more than 700 members.

Benito Serrano emphasized that this is the third consecutive year that the agreement has been signed, demonstrating the Provincial Council’s commitment to culture and the preservation of a casino with 176 years of history.

“This emblematic center encompasses various cultural manifestations, such as conferences, discussions, seminars, concerts, exhibitions, and a multitude of events,” he noted.

Founded in 1848, the Casino Amistad Numancia has established itself as a cultural landmark in the province of Soria. According to the Provincial Council, it hosts “a wide variety of activities and events related to culture, art, and society.”

With the financial support of the Provincial Council and the commitment of its Board of Directors, the Casino is preparing to face the challenges of the future and remain an undisputed cultural reference point in the province of Soria.
