Spanish Poker Championship (CEP) Announces 2025 Schedule

The Campeonato de España de Poker (CEP) by PokerStars has officially announced its schedule for the 2025 season. CEP Barcelona, taking place from March 5th to 16th, will kick off the 18th edition of Spain’s premier poker circuit.

This announcement comes two weeks before CEP Perelada, the final stop of the 17th edition, where the 2024 Champion of Spain and Mini CEP champion will be crowned.

Following the Barcelona event, Madrid, Málaga, and Perelada will complete the 2025 season.

According to organizers, the competition schedule is as follows:

  • CEP Barcelona – Casino Barcelona, March 5-16
  • CEP Madrid – Casino Torrelodones, May 27 – June 1
  • CEP Barcelona – Casino Barcelona, August 5-17
  • CEP Málaga – Casino Torrequebrada, September 23-28
  • CEP Perelada – Casino Peralada, November 26-30

Final Stop of 2024

The Spanish poker circuit will conclude at the 14th-century castle, where the new Champion of Spain will be crowned. From November 27th to December 1st, Casino Perelada will host the final stage, featuring a total of 4 events and various live satellites at Casino Barcelona and Casino Perelada.

PokerStars reports that the championship’s main event has accumulated a total of 4,122 entries in its previous stages, and the overall standings are closely contested.

Omar Hernández, winner of CEP Madrid, leads the Main Event general ranking with 2,355 points. Guillermo Nuez, champion of the Mini CEP Barcelona, is only 187 points behind, while David Ballestero (2,090 points), champion of the Main Event at CEP Barcelona in March, holds third place. This tight competition means the title of Spanish poker champion will be decided at Casino Perelada.

The Main Event, with a buy-in of EUR 500 (USD 530), begins on Wednesday, November 27th, with four Day 1 flights. Day 1A will be played at Casino Barcelona, while the final flight (1D) will be a Turbo format.

The Mini CEP, with a buy-in of EUR 250 (USD 265), which has accumulated over 1,100 entries, will also be a major highlight of the stage. Pol Vila enters the event as the leader, a position he secured after his victory at CEP Barcelona in March.

The other tournaments on the schedule include the Turbo Bounty (EUR 90+100+10+20) and the Turbo Closer (EUR 100+5+10).

In addition to the live satellites included in the CEP Perelada schedule, the Spanish poker circuit also offers the opportunity to qualify for the Main Event through online satellites on PokerStars.
